The Student Parliament of Western Norway University of Applied Sciences
The Student Parliament is the highest student political body at HVL. The parliament is a statutory body tasked with representing the interests of HVL students and advocating for their opinions to HVL`s administration, board and other relevant organizations. The student parliament consists of 20 representatives from all five campuses and meets five times a year, once at each campus.

The studentparliament is the highest decision-making body and represents all students at HVL.
The Executive committee coordinates the daily work of the parliament and follows up decisions made by them.
Student Campus councils work with issues conserning student life, learning environments, and campus development.
Student Faculty Councils represent students within each faculty and work on matters related to education and acedemic quality.
Student Representatives of the institute represent students at insitute level and communicate student perspective to academic leadership.
Class Representatives represent students within individual classes and study programmes.

The Executive Committee is elected to represent the students on a full-time basis. It consists of 7 members:

What do we do?
The studentparliament works to represent and improve the academic interests of students across the Western Norway University of Applied Sciences. We work with student welfare, educational equality, student rights, and communication between students and the university. Our goal is to ensure that students have a strong voice in decisions that affect their everyday study life.
